For Valentine’s Day, my husband and I decided to spend a few nights in Bath, the Georgian city famous for its natural hot springs. Our shared sense of adventure is one of the reasons we fell in love in the first place, and exploring a new city was the perfect reset after a hard week.
While all vacations have to end sometime, don’t let it stop you from enjoying some of the perks of a getaway in the comfort of your own home. The three products in this week’s edition will help you relax and pamper yourself as you would on holiday, proving you don’t have to go far to get away.
1. Weleda Skin Food Body Lotion (£14.95)
One of the best parts of a hotel stay is the toiletries, am I right? I like trying out new brands of body care products when I travel, especially when the hotel’s offerings provide a luxurious experience and relaxing, spa-inspired scent. While the cult classic Weleda Skin Food original cream is too rich for my face, their body lotion is a 10/10. With a moisturizing blend of sunflower seed oil and shea butter along with calendula, pansy and chamomile extracts, the texture is nourishing without leaving me feeling greasy and the botanical scent reminds me of a spa day.
2. Because of Alice Cashmere Blend Column Maxi Dress (£60)
For me, vacation dressing is all about ease. I want outfits I don’t have to think about too much, made up of pieces that keep me feeling comfortable and put together all day long. This maxi dress from Because of Alice, the line created by Alice Olivia Cross, ticks both of those boxes. Made from sustainably sourced cotton and cashmere with a slightly oversized fit, it’s cozy and machine washable. This knit dress is perfect for lounging around the house, so you’ll be ready to go out at a moment’s notice. I have both colors—add your name to the waiting list now for the restock.
3. Buffy Cloud Comforter ($149 and up)
There’s nothing like coming home to your own bed after some time away—as long as your bedding is on point. One of my favorite parts of our sleeping setup is our comforter from Buffy, which is super soft without being too heavy. The shell is made from TENCEL™ lyocell to keep you cool. The inside is stuffed with fiber from recycled plastic bottles, which makes it not only a more sustainable option than a down comforter, but also far more low-maintenance. And it’s on sale right now for President’s Day.
