We all have those weeks that just knock the wind out of us. When so much is piling up or falling down, it can be hard to see through it all. These are the times it’s important to know how best to take care of ourselves. When we need a bit of extra cushion to get through the day, we reach for the things that provide comfort.
I’m definitely in a “when it rains, it pours” period right now. The three products featured in this week’s edition are all helping me through it so I can stay on top of everything without totally blowing my top. I can count on them for better rest and some relief until the sun comes out and I hope they can help you, too.
So let it rain. This will pass.
1. OTO 10% CBD Sleep Drops (£69)
Falling asleep has been hard for me for a while now. Some nights, it can take hours to turn off my brain and convince myself those to-do lists can wait until the morning. That’s why I’ve been reaching for these CBD drops from Gemma Colao’s wellness brand OTO this past week. Each dose (1/2 dropper) provides 50 mg of CBD along with lavender, butterfly pea flower and mint leaf extracts to calm you down and lull you to sleep. The mint flavor is very subtle—just hold the drops under your tongue for 30 seconds after brushing your teeth and you’ll be snoozing in no time.
2. Sweaty Betty Gary Cropped Yoga Pants (£80)
When I’m stressed or feeling down, I pull out my softest clothing. The pair of sweats in my collection that has gotten the most wear by far are these cropped joggers from Sweaty Betty (previously featured here and here). Stretchy, sweat-wicking and super soft, these pants are great for working out, flying or lounging around no matter the season. The looser fit makes them more comfortable to keep on all day long no matter what you eat, drink or do. You can usually spot me walking Scoop in these pants with a white t-shirt.
3. T2 Tea Mugs with Infusers (£10 and up)
Having lived in Asia and now calling the UK home, tea has been a constant in my daily routine for years. A good cup of tea really can be comforting (just don’t tell the Brits I usually skip the milk). Whenever I’m drinking loose leaf tea, I always use one of T2’s infusing mugs, which prepare the perfect cup of tea, mess-free, in minutes. Founded in Australia in 1996, T2 has an entire range of gorgeous teaware in eye-catching, reasonably priced patterns. My preferred cuppa to start the day or for an afternoon boost is their Japanese Sencha.
Something to think about …
Whenever my soul needs lifting, I have to turn on my favorite movie, Something’s Gotta Give. I know the “coastal grandmother” aesthetic is everywhere right now, but I’ve been dreaming of cashmere-clad Long Island summers since college.
Last week on MIDDI …
